Sommerfest Tickets Are Now Available

June 15th, 2019 · Comments Off on Sommerfest Tickets Are Now Available

Sunday, July 21, 12pm to 6pm UPDATE:  Sommerfest is sold out. No tickets will be sold at the gate. If you have tickets, we look forward to seeing you at the Fest! Sommerfest might be sold out, but our sister branch in Oakland is hosting their Biergartenfest on Sunday, August 4, and tickets are still available for Biergartenfest! Celebrate summer with great food, drink, live music, and dancing at our traditional German/Austrian festival, Sommerfest! If you love to dance, there’s always a lively band playing folk and popular music. Featured dancers in traditional dress perform Schuhplattler and other dances popular in Bavaria and Austria. Add to that a menu of authentic German/Austrian foods, and of course, excellent imported and domestic beers and other drinks, and you have a fun-filled day that is sehr gemütlich for all ages. Festivals are held at our beautiful Mt. Tamalpais alpine lodge, built by members over 100 years ago, and decorated with Bäuerlicher Malerei. The lodge is situated in the redwoods just above Muir Woods National Monument, and has wonderful views of the California Coast Ranges and surrounding area. Don’t forget to wear your Lederhosen, Dirndl, Tirolerhut, or other Tracht (traditional attire) to join in the spirit of Sommerfest! What You Need to Know for Sommerfest Tickets are $25 (plus online processing fee) for adult guests 18 and over. Ticket includes one commemorative pint drink vessel. Children under 18 are no charge and don’t require a ticket. All admission tickets are sold online in advance of the fest. There will be no general admission tickets for sale at the gate. Please be certain about your plans when you purchase tickets as there are no refunds. Please read our Directions page about getting to Sommerfest. It is the responsibility of every guest to the Tourist Club to be familiar with and to abide by our Guest Rules, which include no outside food or alcohol at the fest, no dogs allowed, and no driving on the club’s access road. Guests are encouraged to bring personal water containers as we will no longer provide disposable drinkware. Please visit Festivals for more information. […]
