Work days are how we maintain our properties and give prospective members and current members a chance to meet and get to know each other. When you become a member of the Nature Friends, you are expected to participate regularly in work days, or to contribute to the spirit and well-being of the club and its members in some other manner.
You don't need any special skills to join us for a work day; volunteers contribute in many different areas, and every effort is appreciated. Typically, there are chores that need to be completed in cleaning, organizing, repairing, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, cooking, sewing, mending, laundry, gardening, clearing brush and debris, splitting wood, and moving beer kegs.
Work days are always held on the second Sunday of every month, rain or shine, and are posted on our calendar. Please RSVP here, then show up in work clothes promptly at 10am and make sure to sign the work day attendance log. At the work day, take some time to meet the members, look around, ask questions, and get to know us and our club. A delicious lunch is provided by volunteers for all workers.
We recommend hiking to the club for work day or carpooling. See Directions.
